Prafulla Chandra Ray was brought into the world on August 2, 1861, in Raruli-Katipara town, in the region of Khulna (Now in Bangladesh) and passed on June 16, 1944.
His dad, Harish Chandra Ray who was a property manager with liberal perspectives had a place with a well-off refined family in Calcutta so his children could have advanced education.
